a quick and probably inaccurate summary of the plot

a man inadvertently causes a hit and run accident (although he himself is not involved in the accident). feelings of guilt and responsibility lead him to seek out the victim in the emergency ward of the hospital. some kind of relatinship develops, probably a romantic one (what is a novel without love?) but it doesn't work out. the story is about how we are thrown into situations we didn't expect or look for, and how we struggle to make them work out (even if they don't).

on what it's all about

so every year there is a maddash task to write a novel in 30 days. it's called national novel writing month. the goal is to write a 50,000 word novel between nov 1 and nov 30. if you do, you get a certificate and an icon or something like that. so this is my attempt to make that goal. i'm skeptical because half of my month will be taken up with getting married on going on a honeymoon. improbable but not impossible. that is my motto for the month of november. if you want to sign on, go to www.nanowrimo.org
